Love Quotes

Who doesn't like a quote that makes them feel good? Good! I am glad we agree. Here are some wonderful quotes on love from daily quotes.

How true is this! Sometimes seemingly at the absolute worst time, but it always works out. Although, the road to love can be full of detours! :)

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage" - Lao Tzu
This is deep. I can attest that having the unconditional love of another person (family or not) gives you strength. You feel like you're not alone in this world. And maybe you can face another day. Plus it makes you feel warm and fuzzy! Also, loving someone else unconditionally does take courage! It's not easy. It does not mean love someone when things are all rosy. It means all the time. Through the tough times.

"I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear" - Martin Luther King, Jr.

Have you ever noticed when you hold a grudge, you feel literally heavy? It weighs you down. Some say you cannot be at your best as long as a part of you is mad at someone else. I believe this to be true. More often than not, it is not the person you hate. It's that you feel hurt.

"Love yourself first and everything else falls into line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world" - Lucille Ball

I am so glad I remembered this quote for this post. I probably should have put it first. Loving yourself first is vital to loving anyone else. How can you give away love if you don't have any inside of yourself? What happens when you squeeze an orange? Orange juice comes out. So if you don't have love inside of you, and you get squeezed, what comes out?

"There can be no deep disappointment where there is not deep love" -  Martin Luther King, Jr.

Thinks about that for a second. Let it marinate. This goes back to holding grudges as well. People only get deeply disappointed because they care deeply. Remember that when someone gets upset at you. Before you get defensive. Maybe it's out of love.

The Best Motivational Quotes

Whether your goal is success with your career, a talent, or your personal life, motivation is the key to success.  You can start with some of the best motivational quotes, and think about them every day.  When you stay motivated, the success you dream of can be yours.

"You can have anything you want if you are willing to give up the belief that you can't have it."

This quote is from Robert Anthony.  Many people sabotage their success by thinking they do not truly deserve to succeed.  Others look at success as something that is too difficult to accomplish.  When you give up these beliefs, you will be motivated and succeed.

"The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn."

This quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson reminds us that true success cannot be achieved in one great leap.  There are many smaller steps that will take you on the path to your goals.  When you look at each small step as an accomplishment, you will move closer and closer to success.

"The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it."

You can credit Henry David Thoreau for this quote.  One reason people often lack motivation is they are concerned about what they must give up to achieve what they want.  Whatever you wish to accomplish in life will require some sacrifices.  As examples, you may need to give up recreational activities and focus on work or your studies.  Remind yourself that your goals are worth the sacrifices.

"It is never too late to be what you might have been."

This quote from George Eliot can remind you that even if you are starting later in life, there are many opportunities ahead.  Even if you made mistakes in the past, you can have a fresh start.  Today is the day to start working toward your goals.

"What may be done at any time will be done at no time."

This old Scottish proverb is an excellent motivational quote.  Another reason individuals fail to reach their goals is because they never start.  If you have the habit of procrastinating or wasting time, remind yourself to never put off until tomorrow what you can do today.

"Falling down is how we grow. Staying down is how we die."

This quote, from Brian Vaszily, can help you stay motivated when you have a setback.  Instead of looking at setbacks as failures, and an excuse to quit, start to view your setbacks as learning experiences.  When you learn something from a mistake, you can do better the next time.  You will only reach your goal if you refuse to give up.

"If you can dream it, you can do it."

This quote by Walt Disney is an inspirational reminder that you can and should take your dreams seriously.  Even if other people do not share your enthusiasm, you must never give up on your dreams.  What might seem pointless or foolish to someone else means the world to you.  Do not allow your own negativity, or anyone else's, to stand in your way.  You can get to where you want to be when you never give up on yourself.

There are a number of ways you can make motivational quotes work for you.  You can meditate on these quotes as affirmations, make posters with quotes for your home, or carry a copy of your favorite quote everywhere you go throughout the day.

These motivational quotes can help turn your dreams into reality.  You will know you have what it takes to reach the goals you have for your life.

Best Inspirational Quotes

Who doesn't love a good quote? I certainly do. They have been helpful during times of need, or inspiration. I love when you find one, and it leaves you speechless! I am going to post my favorites and what they mean to me. Hopefully, someone else enjoys them just as much!

Let's start with Dr. Joseph Murphy. He is a well-renowned author and new thought minister. (Also one of my favorites). He has written extensively on the powers of the subconscious mind. My favorite book being 'The power of your subconscious mind.' It is an eye-opening book for anyone who has a slight curiosity to those who have a profound understanding. Onto my favorites quotes!

"Never finish a negative statement; reverse it immediately, and wonders will happen in your life."

Joseph is big on the power of our words and thoughts. He says many times in different books to never finish a negative statement or thought. Literally just interrupt the thought or statement and say something else. Like, 'God supplies all my needs'.

“Your desire is your prayer. Picture the fulfillment of your desire now and feel its reality and you will experience the joy of the answered."

That's deep. Deeper than it first appears. Joseph also talks about scientific prayer. He believes many people do not pray effectively (that's a whole other post!). He says desires are in our mind, and essentially come from God. Joseph also says God gives us desire. So people just having these desires is a prayer to God. God knows our needs and desires. So, get into the picture of fulfillment (get ready to receive), and you will receive! What a wonderful notion.

“The way to get rid of darkness is with light; the way to overcome cold is with heat; the way to overcome the negative thought is to substitute the good thought. Affirm the good, and the bad will vanish."

I absolutely love when I read a quote, and say 'A-HA! That makes sense!' That's how I felt when I read this quote for the first time. It just makes sense. So simple. More often than not or negative thinking is just old learned patterns. And when we consciously make an effort to counteract those negative patterns, they actually fade away.

“He awakened to the simple truth that it is never what a person says or does that affects him, it is his reaction to what is said or done that matters.”

This is unquestionably true. So much of the time life happens to us, and we can feel like it's very unfair. It can be all about our reaction, instead of the situation. I feel like this is a good example of a quote to describe a quote, haha. As Joel Osteen says "Today, no matter what storm is raging around youdon't let it get in you."
